Calling all cuties! No wedding is complete without the help of the special children in your life. On your wedding day, these little helpers are sure to attract attention as they steal the show with their adorable faces. What could make a child feel more special than to be a part of such a fancy day? They might not understand exactly what a wedding is, but they'll love being able to get dressed up and have an important job. "I bribed them with cake!" |
Little helpers at weddings, whether they are the flower girl, ring bearer, bible bearer, guest book attendant, or bubble passer-outer (that's an official title, right?), add a special touch to the wedding day festivities. A good photographer should be able to work well with children and know the importance of capturing their unique personality. Perhaps they are shy and need a little help getting used to having a camera in their face. Maybe they are "a ham" and their love for the camera shows. Either way, they shouldn't be left out of your wedding photographs.
Who wants to dress like a Princess? Your lovely flower girl or bible bearer will feel so pretty in her fancy dress and shiny shoes. On the day of your wedding she'll watch you and start dreaming of what her own wedding will be like one day. On the other hand, she could think fancy dresses are itchy and no one should ever be forced to wear dress shoes. No matter what, she'll still look adorable. |
On your wedding day, little things will go wrong. At the time, they might feel like big things, but in the end it might just make for a funny story to tell later. Sometimes the thing that goes wrong is your flower girl or ring bearer just can't seem to make it down the aisle. Stage fright gets the best of us. Sure, it was easy for them at the rehearsal, but once all those people sitting in their seats turn and stare at them, the pressure is on.
If you are a stickler for details and everything going just perfect...small children might not be the best fit. If you are super worried about their performance then you could do what one of my brides confessed, "I bribed them with cake!" All in all, no matter how well they follow directions, your guests will love their sweet faces and you'll be glad you made them a part of your special day. |
